Ever since we began displaying our Lewis and Clark's flag, we have been thinking about re-creating the picture from Iwo Jima. After several abortive atempts it finally happened all on its own. That's the magic of the trip. Not perfect, of course, but enough to suggest it. ok

Earlier in the day we stopped at Rainbow Dam and Black Eagle Dam, where very little water was flowing. it did allow us to see the interesting rock formations that created the original falls.

Then it was on to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive center, where we raised our flag and participated in some of their demonstration. Here some of our folks are learning how the natives prepare hides.

Our driver made the bus merry by bringing aboard the balloons from his party last night. and on the right, Bob Whitson helps push the big dugout up the hill at the Interpretive Center.

Another wonderful day on the trail.
