Clarkston, WA to Kennewick, WA -- Today we visited the Nez Perce Interpretive Center at Spalding, ID, where Russ tried on a headdress, even though it was in a glass case. Judy showed us all sorts of neat Nez Perce stuff and talked about tule reed mat houses and sweat lodges. ok

Later in the day, at the Snake-Columbia confluence we discovered live examples of both these items. They are a display of the Wanapum Tribe.
