Sept. 20, 2006
Great Falls, Montana

The first day is always orientation. Here the hostelers are looking over their reference materials.

Standing is our Group Leader, Charla Johannes. Our Study leader is Tom Laidlaw.

Tomorrow we will be going to Fort Benton and an overlook of the Marias River. ok

The 10 day trip will take us to Helena, MT, Missoula, MT, Clarkston, WA, Kenewick, WA, The Dalles, OR, Astoria, OR, and we will wind up in Portland, OR.

Along the way we will not only follow Lewis & Clark, but also the fur trade, other explorers, American army, and Indian culture.

Our group consists of 30 elderhostelers from 15 different states. Many are first time Elderhostelers, and they are in for the experience of their lives.

Tomorrow, September 21, will be our first full day of activity, and I do mean full.

Say, why not send us some e-mail to: tomlaidlaw@comcast.net
