Road Scholars are arriving all day long. ok

They pick up materials and relax a little in the lobby

Then it's over to the restaurant next door...

...for orientation and getting acquainted

Our host in St. Charles is Marylou Schlis

Our driver, or Road Captain, is Marv Diener

Everyone got up and introduced themselves

After introductions Group Leader Grace Humberston and Historian Tom Laidlaw performed a little skit about Lewis begging Jefferson to give him a co-commander of equal rank. Jefferson agreed and we will see in a few days how that worked out.

Then it was a great dinner, and day one was over. Tomorrow we head for the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.
